People are urged to call police immediately if they see this man

A manhunt is underway for a 31-year-old man who is wanted in Greater Manchester. Police are asking people to look out for Thomas Brooks.

Greater Manchester Police say Brooks has links to Salford and Manchester city centre. He is wanted in connection with a shoplifting offence and an assault, GMP says.

An urgent appeal was issued on social media this afternoon (July 8) as officers attempt to track down Brooks. GMP released a picture of Brooks alongside him.

In the photo, Brooks can be seen with short hair, a mustache and a patchy beard. Anyone who sees Brooks or has information about his whereabouts is urged to come forward as soon as possible.
