Leicester City squad numbers available for Bobby De Cordova-Reid and new signings

There are plenty of options for Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Leicester City’s summer signings when it comes to picking squad numbers for the new season.

With loanees Callum Doyle and Cesare Casadei vacating the No.5 and No.7 shirts they wore last season, Marc Albrighton vacating the No.11 shirt and no one replacing the No.6 shirt worn by Jonny Evans, City have a number of players in the first 11 available for new recruits.

De Cordova-Reid may skip those. He has worn the number 14 at his last three clubs, Bristol City, Cardiff and Fulham, and is now available at Leicester too following the summer departure of Kelechi Iheanacho.

There are plenty of other numbers available too. Alex Smithies’ retirement means the number 12 is now free, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s number 22 and Dennis Praet’s number 26 are also available. Abdul Fatawu may want his number 18 shirt back when he returns to the club, while Wilfred Ndidi will almost certainly take the number 25 should he sign a new contract.

The number 5 shirt looks ideal for Caleb Okoli should he sign for Atalanta as expected. The defender wore that number at his current club and on loan at Frosinone last season.
