Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Jamaican international winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid on a three-year deal.

De Cordova-Reid, 31, joins the youngster from Fulham, where he made over 200 appearances. Speaking to LCFC.com, he expressed his excitement at joining Leicester City.

“Getting here was a special moment, looking around and seeing the infrastructure. It has that wow factor. It’s a good feeling. I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.

De Cordova-Reid also shared insights from her discussions with the manager.

“I had a good chat with the manager, he told me the vision of the club. I spoke to him a few times and he was very clear about what he wanted and what he saw in me. He believes in me and it’s a perfect fit for me.”

Born in Bristol, De Cordova-Reid began his career at Bristol City, making his professional debut for the Robins in the 2010/11 season.

After loan spells at Cheltenham Town, Oldham Athletic and Plymouth Argyle, he established himself at Ashton Gate. He was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year in 2017/18 after scoring 19 league goals.

In June 2018, he signed for Premier League side Cardiff City, scoring five goals in 15 appearances. A loan move to Fulham followed in August 2019, where he later made his move permanent in January 2020. During his time at Craven Cottage, De Cordova-Reid represented the club 209 times.

On the international stage, De Cordova-Reid has 33 caps for Jamaica. He has featured for his country at the 2021 and 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments and this summer’s Copa América.
