Full hour-by-hour forecast for Kasabian’s big Leicester show at Victoria Park tonight

Rockers are set to dodge the rain tonight for Kasabian’s big Leicester show. However, the city may not be dry in the hours before the music kicks off, according to the latest forecast.

The headline show, which has led to a number of road closures in the city, will take place in Leicester’s Victoria Park tonight (Saturday, July 6). Around 35,000 people from across the country are expected to attend the Summer Solstice II concert, which comes 10 years after the first Summer Solstice performance.

One important thing attendees will want to know is how the weather is shaping up for tonight’s show. According to the Met Office, things are looking decent – but it will take time to get to that stage.

In its latest forecast, the Met Office says Saturday will be mostly cloudy until around midday, with the cloud potentially starting to clear around 1pm. However, from then on, the city should encounter some rain.

It should be light at first and then become heavier as the afternoon progresses. The heaviest showers are expected around 3pm before dissipating into cloudier conditions once again.

From here, the Met Office says Saturday afternoon should be sunny and clear as the evening approaches before the show kicks off later tonight. Temperatures will peak at 15C around 6pm tonight, with the day seeing figures between 13C and 15C throughout the day.

Motorists are warned of multiple road closures on their approach to the show, with organisers urging people to arrive before 8pm in anticipation of queues. The gates to Victoria Park will open at 3pm. Summer Solstice II is expected to end around 10.30pm.
