Stevie Nicks postpones Glasgow Hydro show at last minute due to ‘leg injury’

Stevie Nicks has postponed her performance at Glasgow’s Hydro just hours before she was due to take the stage on Saturday. Doors were due to open in less than five hours when the OVO Hydro told fans the July 6 show had been postponed.

The venue said the legendary rock singer had undergone minor surgery on a “leg injury”, requiring her to take time off. It also means her Manchester performance on Tuesday, July 9 will be rescheduled.

The Fleetwood Mac icon announced in March that she would be performing live in Glasgow this summer. The 75-year-old American icon has made her mark as a solo artist following her time working with the band.

The last time she played the Hydro was in 2015 with her bandmates on the Show Must Go On tour.

Stevie made headlines last week when she was spotted at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Dublin. Swift, who has long cited Stevie as her musical inspiration, dedicated a song to her during the set.

The Stand Back singer is also set to headline BST Hyde Park this summer in London.

In a post on X, they said: “Due to a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will require a few days of recovery, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled performances in Glasgow on Saturday 6th July and Manchester on Tuesday 9th July have been postponed.

“Further information will be available at point of purchase, ticket holders are advised to hold on to their tickets as the rescheduled dates will be announced shortly. Stevie is looking forward to seeing everyone in London’s Hyde Park.”
