Three arrested after drugs bust in Belfast

BELFAST, Maine (WABI) – Three people from central Maine were arrested Monday following a drug bust in Belfast.

Belfast Police Chief Robert Cormier said officers from his department and Waldo County Sheriff’s deputies searched a home on Swan Lake Ave. around 8 a.m. Monday.

Among the findings from the search, police say they found what is believed to be methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with scales, stolen cellphones and guns.

Three people were arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges.

Alexander Wilson, 38, and Brittany Saucier, 24, who live at the home on Swan Lake Ave in Belfast, each face six charges. Those charges are: aggravated drug trafficking, drug possession, receiving stolen property, possession of firearms by a prohibited person, breach of release conditions and cruelty to animals.

Sidney Harris, 39, of Rockland, is charged with drug possession.

Chief Cormier says these arrests are just the latest findings in a year-long investigation into suspected drug trafficking at the Swan Lake Ave. home.

The investigation is ongoing.
