Nene Macdonald names three venues he would like to see host Super League Magic Weekend – Total Rugby League

SALFORD RED DEVILS star Nene Macdonald will play in her second Magic Weekend this weekend as her club prepare to face Leigh Leopards on Sunday lunchtime.

The Papua New Guinea international wore the Leeds Rhinos jersey last year when the Headingley club lost to Castleford Tigers, but Macdonald will do the same for Salford in 2025.

The 30-year-old is a fan of the Magic Weekend concept.

“I think it’s a great idea, to put all the teams together and to do it in a place like Leeds and last year we did it in Newcastle, I never thought I would get the chance to do that,” said Macdonald. Express League.

“It’s a great concept, every year they should change the venue and try different places for fans to watch rugby on a football pitch.”

To expand on this, Macdonald named three locations where he would like to see Magic Weekend take place.

“Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool should also be considered! Coming from Australia, you only watch it on TV and the reality is nothing like what you see on TV.

“When you are there and in the occasion, the atmosphere is extraordinary.”
