Premier League club eyeing sensational swoop for Edu

Arsenal are having a busy summer transfer window as the Gunners look to add new players to their squad and improve it.

Fans are also prepared for some players to leave if they are no longer part of the coach’s plans.

However, fans are not expecting any key backroom staff to leave the Emirates this summer. However, a report is linking Edu with a move to a Premier League rival.

Edu has done a sensational job since becoming a director at Arsenal and works well with Mikel Arteta to make big decisions at the club.

He seems very happy in his current role and there is no indication that he wants to leave the Emirates any time soon.

However, a report from The Sun claims that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is looking to add Edu to his business group.

The report claims that Marinakis wants to offer Edu a bigger role than just being Sporting Director, proposing to make him CEO of his footballing interests group, which includes Greek giants Olympiacos and Portuguese side Rio Ave.

That doesn’t seem like a threat to us, and we don’t expect Edu to leave his lucrative role at Emirates any time soon.
