Iheanacho’s transfer to Sevilla temporarily suspended due to red tape

Kelechi Iheanacho, who recently signed a two-year deal with Sevilla after leaving Leicester City, is facing delays in joining his new side due to administrative issues.

Despite completing his transfer last week, Iheanacho will miss Sevilla’s upcoming pre-season games, including the match against Fulham.

The delay is attributed to complications with the transfer of his documentation from the English Football Association to the Spanish FA.

As a result, Iheanacho has yet to receive the necessary documentation to participate in Sevilla’s training.

This unforeseen delay means that Iheanacho will not be able to train with his new teammates or take part in Sevilla’s pre-season activities scheduled for this weekend.

The Super Eagles forward was due to start training on Friday but the injury prevented him from doing so.

Sevilla fans and manager García Pimienta are hopeful that the administrative issues will be resolved soon, allowing Iheanacho to integrate into the squad and begin his preparations for the new season.
