London Majors loses to Welland Jackfish

The London Majors started their away game well on Saturday night but quickly lost momentum.

Scoring two runs in the first inning, they were shut out from there, losing 6-2 to the lead Welland Jackfish.

With just five hits, the Majors only managed to get on base in three of the nine innings – with Brandon Underhill keeping the Majors on the defensive for most of the game before handing over the mound.

Majors Eduardo De Oleo had a single and a double. Cleveland Brownlee, .Champ Garner and Brad Verhoeven each had a hit.

In the coming days, the Majors will face the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers – with one game at Fergie Jenkins Field today and another at Labatt Park on Monday.

London are fourth in the league, while the Barnstormers are fifth, four and a half games behind London.
