Erling Haaland ‘never got over robot allegations’ as Man City ace joins bizarre ‘raw dogging’ flight trend

FANS have joked that Erling Haaland will never get over the “robot accusations” after “trampling” a seven-hour flight.

The Norwegian striker was returning to England with Manchester City following the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.

Haaland, 24, looked in form as the Citizens prepared for the new Premier League season.

In his last game, he scored a hat-trick against Chelsea during a 4–2 victory at Ohio Stadium.

However, he was still keen to grab a bite to eat on the flight home, as he shared a funny clip on Instagram.

The video shows him sitting next to goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, looking at the flight map.

Haaland does not blink or move during the video as he “accelerates” the flight.

The term “raw dogging” on a flight is a bizarre online trend of people who just watch the flight map and don’t sleep or do anything else while in the air.

He captioned the clip: “Just got through a seven hour flight.

“No phone, no sleep, no water, no food, just map. #Easy.”

Inside the Keane-Haaland rivalry

Roy Keane’s feud with the Haaland family apparently began in 2001 when Keane hit Erling’s father Alfe Inge Haaland with a horrific tackle.

After a barren spell for Haaland earlier this season, Keane said: “The levels of his overall game are very poor. He has to improve that. He is almost like a League Two player.”

Keane promoted him to ‘Championship’ player after Haaland scored against Nottingham Forest.

After scoring four goals against Wolves, Haaland said: “I don’t care about this man.”

But Keane singled out Haaland’s behaviour when he was substituted, saying he behaved “like a spoilt brat”.

Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones was hit with a death glare from Keane when he dared to question that label, considering his quartet of goals.

A second commented: “Monster mentality.”

A third wrote: “Lmaooo this guy is hilarious.”

A fourth joked: “The guy is in trouble. Definitely needs a system update.”

A fifth said: “Now that’s a real athlete.”

Another added: “This guy is crazy.”

Manchester City began their competitive season in a Community Shield clash against rivals Manchester United on 10 August.

They will be looking to exact revenge on the Red Devils for their FA Cup final defeat last season.

The club will then begin their Premier League title defence against Chelsea on August 18.
