Bulut ‘pleased’ with Cardiff summer after Bristol Rovers win

Erol Bulut says he is “pleased” with Cardiff City’s pre-season efforts, which ended in a 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

Aaron Ramsey and Joe Ralls scored in either half at the Memorial Ground as the Bluebirds secured their fifth win in eight games this summer.

Bulut believes the triumph over Matt Taylor’s Rovers will serve his side well ahead of their 2024-25 Championship opener against Sunderland on Saturday, August 10.

“Not just today but also the previous pre-season games were good,” Bulut told BBC Sport Wales.

“The last one is perhaps the most important because there is a week left until the start of the league and for us to have a victory with good morale to take into next week for the Championship.

“Of course, big goals outside the box, that’s what we want this season, to have a lot of shots and chances to score.

“We created some and scored two. We didn’t concede any goals, that’s also good.

“Our defensive formation has also worked very well, so I’m pleased with pre-season.”
