Here are our ratings of Manchester United’s players from their 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

André Onana – Midfielder with the ball at his feet. He was not to blame for any of Liverpool’s goals. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – A typical display of good defense and poor quality on the ball. 5/10

Jonny Evans – He doesn’t have the pace to deal with Liverpool’s fast attack. He came out with a problem. 4/10

Victor Lindelof – Very average. Started off badly and never really recovered. Possibly injured… 4/10

Harry Kneads – Probably United’s best player on the night. Growing into a senior role with each passing game. Defended well against Salah. 7/10

Casemiro – Just really bad defensively. Too easily ignored on multiple occasions. Not sure if he seems disinterested or if he’s just getting older. 3/10

Toby Collyer – Steady enough for the first 45 but lost the ball for Liverpool’s second goal. 5/10

Mount Mason – Should have scored. Had two good chances. Looked full of energy the whole time and also showed his versatility. Could be an important player this season. 6/10

Amad – Probably their most ineffective pre-season game so far, especially in the first half. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – He looked sharp. He was a threat to the Liverpool defence. I’m expecting a great recovery season. 6/10

Jadon Sancho – He continued to play as a striker. He wasn’t as involved as we would have liked. 4/10

Subs:

Rhys Bennett – It looked comfortable enough in the back.

Go fishing – Came away with what appears to be a serious injury. Fingers crossed it won’t be too bad.

Scott McTominay – He had a great opportunity, but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Christian Eriksen – It was ignored too easily on some occasions.

Antony – Generally uninspiring.

Ethan Wheatley – Had a semi-decent effort saved.

Sam Murray – It’s good to see more of the talented left-back.

Sam Mather – It looked pretty decent.

Maxi Oyedele – He came in as a defender due to injury problems.

James Scanlon – There is not enough time to score.
