Nottingham Forest dream of move to sign Arsenal player for £50m

Nottingham Forest are serious about signing a £50million Arsenal player this summer.

Arsenal have started their summer transfer window rather slowly, but Riccardo Calafiori is now closing in on a move.

Mikel Arteta is hoping to add a central midfielder and a striker to his squad, with Mikel Merino and Nico Williams considered the frontrunners.

To facilitate these deals, they will have to offload players and, that said, Nottingham Forest are indeed keen on signing one of their castoffs.

Nottingham Forest dream of signing Aaron Ramsdale

According to Alan Nixon, Nottingham Forest are dreaming of signing Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The Gunners’ number two is expected to leave this summer after losing his place to David Raya last season.

Newcastle were reportedly pursuing a deal but that is unlikely to materialise and now Forest are keen to secure his signature on a loan deal.

Ramsdale carries a £50m price tag which the East Midlanders are unwilling to pay, but are willing to wait in the hope that Arsenal will soften their stance and allow him to leave on loan in the latter stages of the window.

Reiss Nelson also attracts interest

Reiss Nelson is another Arsenal star who could leave this summer.

The 24-year-old is in the sights of newly-promoted Leicester City, who are confident of completing a deal with the Gunners.

Emile Smith Rowe is set to leave for west London club Fulham for a substantial fee of £35m, which would give him a record sale.

In other news, Arsenal are reportedly pushing to bring the ‘incredible’ £86m striker to the Emirates.
