Four men in police custody after alleged knife attack in north Belfast – The Irish News

Four men arrested at a flat in north Belfast following a fight in which weapons may have been used are currently in police custody.

Two men were injured in what is believed to be a knife incident in the Cliftonville Road area on Saturday night.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at around 6pm.

A PSNI spokesman said an investigation into the incident was ongoing.

They added: “At around 5.50pm, it was reported that a fight was taking place at a flat in the Cliftonville Road area. Weapons may have been used in the attack.

“Two men were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.



“Four men — two aged 26 and two aged 34 — have been arrested and remain in police custody at this time.”

A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) spokesman said NIAS received a 999 call at 6.06pm following reports of an incident in the Cliftonville Road area of ​​Belfast.

They added: “NIAS deployed two rapid response paramedics, one advanced paramedic and two emergency response teams to the incident.

“Following initial on-site evaluation and treatment, two patients were taken to RVH.”
