Leeds Pride taking place today – list of road closures | News

Leeds Pride is happening today and it’s the biggest free event of its kind in the UK!

Organizers promise it will be bigger and better than ever… with around 50,000 people in attendance.

Road closures

Access to areas of Leeds city centre will be restricted to vehicles and city centre public transport routes may be affected during Leeds Pride 2024.

Lower Briggate event location

The following roads (partly/entirely) will be closed to unauthorized vehicles and pedestrians to allow for the set-up and tear-down of the event between 5am on Sunday 21 July and Monday 22 July:

• Blayds Yard/Heatons Court/Blayds Stables

• Call range

• The Calls

• Bridge tip

Start of the parade

There will be road closures on the below roads (part/all) from 7am until approximately 1:30pm to allow floats and parade participants to assemble

• Portland Crescent

• East Portland Gate

• Cookridge Street

• The headboard

• West Gate

• East Park Square

Parade route

There will be road closures on the below roads (part/full) from 11am until approximately 3pm to allow the Leeds Pride parade to travel from The Headrow to the Lower Briggate event venue.

• West Gate

• The Headow (eastbound)

• Great George Street

• Santa Ana Street

• Albion Street

• Albion Street

• Park Line

• Upper Basinghall Street

• Albion Street (south section)

• Vicar Lane

• Eastgate (westbound)

• King Edward Street
