Watch hero climb a lamppost in Glasgow to save a trapped seagull

A hero climbed to the top of a lamppost in Glasgow city centre to rescue a trapped seagull.

In a video posted to TikTok, a man was caught climbing a lamppost on Sauchiehall Street to save a bird that was recently shot.

In the clip, the man — dubbed the “seagull savior” — can be seen quickly climbing street furniture to rescue his feathered friend.

After reaching the top, the subject managed to help him, removing him from the structure.

Then he could be seen flying away, as the animal rescuer slid back down the pole to the ground.

After his act of bravery, the man was considered a “legend” by social media users.

In the comments of the video, someone said: “Legend.”

Another replied: “This needs to explode. What a guy.”

A third said: “Phenomenal – the world needs more guys like him. Glasgow and the seagulls were lucky.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Hero. Well done.”
