Real Madrid to make new offer for Lille’s Leny Yoro despite Manchester United’s offer being accepted

According to Fabrice HawkinsReal Madrid are set to make a new bid for Lille defender Leny Yoro (18) as the race for his signature intensifies. The La Liga club’s previous offer, worth a total of €30m with bonuses included, was rejected by the Ligue 1 club.

Manchester United are also in the race to sign the 18-year-old. The Premier League club have had a €62m bid accepted by Lille for the French Under-21 international, The team reports. United are pushing for Yoro to join them, but the player is still keen to join Real Madrid and may even be willing to wait to secure his move to the Spanish capital.

Yoro has one year remaining on his contract at Stade Pierre Mauroy, meaning he will be able to leave Lille as a free agent at the end of 2025. As a result, if the player was willing to wait a year, he could sign for Madrid on a free transfer. However, Les Dogues have no intention of letting the Frenchman leave for free and are looking to complete a sale this summer.
