City started the second half in similar fashion, with Robinson coming close to his hat-trick, but was denied thanks to a good save from Adam Przybek. It was substitute Conte who added the fourth, finishing well after a well-worked one-two with David Turnbull, and striking the ball into the bottom corner.

Evans added the fifth for the Bluebirds after being picked out in the box by Ollie Tanner, hitting it first time into the bottom corner. Penybont pulled one back in the 79th minute from a set-piece on the right-hand side.

City reacted well, as Joel Colwill and Ashford both clinically finished their chances in the box, drilling home low past the keeper, rounding off a clinical performance from the Bluebirds.
