Everton want £25m-rated ‘unplayable’ winger also linked with Nottingham Forest

Everton want £25m-rated ‘unplayable’ winger also linked with Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest will be keeping an eye on a number of players ahead of the Premier League season kicking off in August.

Nikola Milenkovic will undergo a medical at Forest tomorrow and it looks like he will be the latest player to be announced by the Reds.

There will be plenty of links for new players this summer, but Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to be meticulous in his approach.

Few players will be signed, and Forest’s priority must be quality over quantity.

The Reds will undoubtedly lose a number of players too and there is now a strong interest in a player who Forest were linked with last month.

Everton make offer for player wanted by Nottingham Forest

Wilfried Gnonto looks set to leave Leeds United this summer after the team failed to return to the Premier League last season.

Archie Gray has already left the football club and more big-name departures appear to be on the cards.

It was claimed last month that Forest liked Gnonto’s looks, but now Everton are showing an interest in the player.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have revived their interest after missing out on the player last summer.

Last season, Gnonto scored nine goals and provided three assists but was unable to help Leeds overcome Southampton in the Championship play-off final.

Michael Dawson is a big fan of the winger and called him “unplayable” while reporting for Sky Sports News last season.

The forest must leave Gnonto

Leeds want at least £25m for the Italian artist, which would not be a huge commercial advantage.

Forest are keen on a winger, with Espirito Santo tipped to do so following Saturday’s 3-0 win over Chesterfield.

However, there is a feeling that there are perhaps better players out there who will cost a fraction of what Leeds want for Gnonto.

Forest have made some smart moves in the market so far and a significant change in tactics has been evident so far.

Gnonto is only 20 but his strong performances for Leeds have been very inconsistent and perhaps the Reds are better off without this one.

With Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga the only natural wingers in the squad, a new player is a necessity.

Gnonto doesn’t seem like the right player for Forest and it might be wise to give Everton a chance.
