Teenager arrested after delivery man has his bike stolen ‘at knifepoint’

Police have made an arrest after a delivery man was allegedly robbed of his bike at knifepoint. The victim was reportedly confronted by a group while cycling along Victoria Embankment.

Police said it happened at around 6.30pm on Monday (July 15). The man said he was threatened and reported seeing a knife before the bike was taken from him.



There was also a fight between one of the group members and the victim. Police arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of robbery.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened. They also want to hear from anyone who has any footage of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been working hard on the investigation and this arrest is an important step forward. However, we still want to hear from anyone with any relevant information, or CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage that could help with our ongoing enquiries.”
