Real Madrid ‘make contact’ over stunning Liverpool transfer that would wreck Arne Slot’s rebuild

Real Madrid are getting “concrete” with a Liverpool star on a summer transfer, according to surprising reports.

Liverpool have yet to make any new signings since the arrival of Arne Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp.

And the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have been linked with moves away from Anfield this summer.

Not to mention Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires in 2025.

He is yet to sign a new deal, with German journalist Christian Falk claiming Real are stepping up their efforts to sign Alexander-Arnold.

According to reports, contact has been made as the Liverpool star is believed to be interested in a move to the Spanish giants.

The 25-year-old has spent his entire professional career at Liverpool since graduating from the club’s youth academy.

He made his debut for the Reds in 2016 and has since gone on to make 310 appearances in all competitions for the club.

But there is growing speculation he could see out his career at Anfield as talks over a new deal have stalled.

His contract expires in the summer of 2025, and Real are believed to be keeping an eye on his situation.

The La Liga side have made huge strides ahead of the new season, having acquired Kylian Mbappe, with Brazilian phenom Endrick also arriving this month.
