Leeds United demand ambitious €15m for defender – Club in ‘concrete talks’

Eintracht Frankfurt are holding “concrete talks” with Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen ahead of a potential move this summer.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claims that a verbal agreement between the Leeds player and the German side is close and that personal terms will not be a “big issue”.

According to their information, the 27-year-old Leeds player is very interested in playing in the Bundesliga for Eintracht, which encourages them even more to sign the player.

There is currently no agreement between the clubs, with Leeds’ demand of €15m at this stage seemingly considered high. There have been talks and some ideas floated about a loan deal, after Kristensen spent last season on loan at Roma.

Various reports on the matter and whether he could return to the Italian side have made it clear that he does not want to stay at Leeds or play in the Championship, so it is easy to imagine that he could be pushing for a move to Frankfurt if they show interest.

Leeds’ demands for €15m seem high and ambitious, even though they paid €13m to sign him from RB Salzburg in July 2022.

It’s hard to see the German side paying that, especially if they are toying with the idea of a loan, but with personal terms close to being agreed, perhaps they will start making official offers soon and things will evolve from there.
