Journalist says Spurs and Newcastle are showing more interest in PL star – The Spurs Web

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Pedro Neto, but journalist Graeme Bailey insists Spurs and Newcastle are at the front of the queue to sign the Wolves star at the moment (Rousing the Kop).

Pedro Neto linked to Tottenham

Neto has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham for many months now and the speculation shows no sign of slowing down.

Last week, GiveMeSport claimed that Spurs were leading the race to sign the 24-year-old and were optimistic of beating Newcastle and other Premier League clubs to the winger’s signature.

Now, it has been claimed that Neto has also been on Liverpool’s radar for a long time and that the club could pursue a move for the player this summer.

Liverpool could enter the race for Pedro Neto

It has been revealed that Arne Slot’s men could be looking for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, and the Portuguese star could be the ideal fit as he has plenty of Premier League experience.

However, Graeme Bailey insists that while the race for Neto’s signature remains open for now, it is the Lilywhites and Magpies who appear particularly keen on signing the former Braga man.

When asked about the Wolves star, the journalist said: “I don’t think there’s a particular favourite yet. Wolves will let him go but I think he’s got plenty of options out there.

“Recently, in the last few weeks, it has been more Newcastle and Tottenham talking about Neto, but Liverpool are keeping abreast of the situation. He will cost £60m.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t see Tottenham being prepared to pay £60m for Neto, especially if the club also wants to sign Eberechi Eze or Desire Doue, as well as a centre-forward (potentially Jonathan David).

Spurs would likely be keen to complete a deal for the Wolves star for around £45m.
