Tragedy: Midlothian woman found dead as police investigate ‘mysterious’ death

Police have launched an investigation after a woman tragically died in Midlothian.

On Saturday evening, police received a report that a 47-year-old woman had tragically died at a property in Dalkieth. The death is being treated as unexplained and officers have launched an investigation.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a heavy emergency services presence near the park on Saturday, with a house in St Mary’s Court cordoned off.

A police spokesman said: “At around 6.55pm on Saturday, July 13, police received a report that a 47-year-old woman had died at an address in St Mary’s Court, Dalkeith. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
