Exultant music fans jumped for joy as they arrived for day two of Trnsmt.

Young music fans showed their regional pride with Saltire flags, as well as Irish tricolours and Union Jacks.

Scotland’s biggest music festival takes place on Glasgow Green, and headliners on Saturday include Rick Astley and Gerry Cinnamon.

The multigenerational event draws crowds ranging from elementary school children to retirees, with 50,000 people in attendance on Friday.

Indie band The Vaccines also impressed fans on a cloudier Friday, as fans enjoyed glorious sunshine during performances by Garbage and Liam Gallagher, who played songs from Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe, released 30 years ago.

Also on Saturday’s bill are 2000s pop singer Natasha Bedingfield and Glasgow band Dead Pony.

The mood is expected to improve on Sunday when Scottish DJ Calvin Harris will close the festival, possibly during extra time of the Euro 2016 final.

Security stopped two teenagers who were trying to break into the festival and climbed the fence for two days in a row.

Both times they were captured and escorted away from the premises.
