Lawrie Smith claimed his fourth Edinburgh Cup victory, surpassing Graham Bailey’s three titles and moving him into the prestigious group of all-time winners, along with Terry O’Gorman, Poul-Richard Høj-Jensen and Rory Bowman.

The final day of the 76th Edinburgh Cup was a true celebration of the annual British Dragon National Championship, but unfortunately there was no racing. Race six could not be run due to insufficient wind, so on countback Lawrie took victory from Grant Gordon’s GBR 833, level on points.
