Man shot with ‘BB gun’ by ‘group of teenagers’ in Leicester attack

A man has been shot with a “BB gun” by a “group of teenagers” in Leicester. Leicestershire Police said a man in his 20s was targeted on Western Road in Westcotes.

The force said the incident happened at around 6.15pm on Monday (July 8). It said the man was pushed by the “group”, who then shot him with the pellet gun before fleeing the area.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the group in the Western Road, Briton Street or Bede Park area around the time of the attack. Detective Constable Lauren Thacker, the investigating officer, said: “I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a group of teenagers shooting a pellet gun.
