Ireland will look to level their two-match series against South Africa this afternoon.

Andy Farrell’s men will be hoping to bounce back after their 27-20 defeat to the Springboks in Pretoria last week. Farrell made four changes to his side after the first test.

Scrum-half Craig Casey and hooker Dan Sheehan were ruled out earlier this week after picking up knocks last week, along with Bundee Aki. Captain Peter O’Mahony will be on the bench with Caelan Doris leading the line.

The Ireland boss said O’Mahony was unhappy not to be called up but said he was happy to do the right thing for the team.

“That’s good leadership. He understands that we want to take a look at that direction and see how it goes,” Farrell said.

Two Ulster stars are on the bench for the game. Stuart McCloskey replaces Gary Ringrose, who steps into the starting XV, with Cape Town native Rob Herring also named as a replacement.
