Olmo CLAUSE, Rabiot BOOST, André to Premier League

Olmo CLAUSE, Rabiot BOOST, André to Premier League

Here’s all the latest Liverpool transfer news as talks continue over the possibility of triggering Dani Olmo’s release clause.

No, Liverpool have yet to officially sign any senior players. The Reds are taking it slow, but to be fair, they have a new manager, a new sporting director and two major international tournaments to come.

This will delay things.

Things should soon speed up, however, as players return and the Reds settle in with their new personnel. So here’s what’s reportedly going on behind the scenes.

Liverpool and the Dani Olmo clause

Liverpool are reportedly “ready” to trigger a £50m release clause before time runs out next week.

German outlet nd claims Liverpool are one of three clubs “said to be ready” to trigger Dani Olmo’s release clause. The Spaniard could be signed for £50million – as long as a club triggers the clause before next Monday.

Olmo will play for Spain in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final against England, almost certainly preventing any sort of movement for at least the next few days. After that, however, things could move quickly.

Adrien Rabiot is one of the most well-known names on this summer’s list of free agents. The 29-year-old Frenchman opted to leave Juventus when his contract expired on June 30.

The Italian giants were left stunned by the development as they had been trying to renew his contract before he left for the European Championships with France.

Juventus have offered Rabiot a two-year extension worth between €7.5 million and €8 million per season, with the option of a further year.

Tuttosport NOW are claiming that Juventus do not see re-signing Rabiot as a priority task this summer. They also name Liverpool, Bayern Munich and AC Milan as contenders for Rabiot’s signature and now that the player’s interest in Euro 2024 has ended, they will focus on sorting out his future.

Former Liverpool target Andre Trindade is set to secure his long-awaited move to the Premier League this summer, with Fulham in advanced talks over the Brazilian midfielder.

The Fluminense ace, who won the 2023 Copa Libertadores, was heavily linked with a move to Anfield last summer and again in January.

There were even reports during the winter transfer window that the Reds had made a bid for the five-times-capped Brazilian, but the move to Merseyside never materialised.
