Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has revealed that his client could now sign a new contract with Napoli this summer. Kvaratskhelia caught the eye of Georgia at Euro 2024, helping them reach the last 16.

He has also starred for Napoli over the past two years, scoring 25 goals and providing 26 assists, as well as winning the Serie A title in 2023. There had been some doubts over whether he would remain in Italy this summer, with Liverpool one of the teams interested, although his agent has now hinted that he is keen to stay.

“Kvaratskhelia without the Champions League? Then he wants to win the Scudetto,” said Makuma Jugeli. “For the future, everything depends on the Napoli president. If he thinks about selling Kvara, he will do it. If he wants a renewal, he will renew.”

Gordon’s Notice Sent

Liverpool have been warned against signing Anthony Gordon this summer as the Reds continue to be linked with a move for the Newcastle star. Reds chiefs turned down a swap deal involving Jarrell Quansah earlier this summer and John Barnes believes their interest should now end.

“Gordon will be a good signing but you can’t just keep signing players because you have to keep them happy,” Barnes told mybettingsites.co.uk when asked about Gordon, who is currently preparing for the Euro 2024 final.

“And if no one is going to leave, why would we keep signing players? Anthony Gordon, yeah, he would be great, but I don’t think we’re necessarily looking for players in those positions unless players leave.”

Reds want Madrid attack

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid star Andriy Lunin as they seek a new back-up for Alisson. Lunin spent much of last season as Los Blancos’ number one, helping them win La Liga and the Champions League.

But he has just one year remaining on his contract and is expected to return to a reserve role with Thibaut Courtois now fit again. The Ukrainian is now considering his future and is open to offers, according to Sport.

The Spanish newspaper claims that Liverpool are now considering making a move for him. The Reds are looking for a replacement for Caoimhin Kelleher, who is expected to leave Anfield this summer, with Lunin emerging as a potential option.
