FAI coaches warned over US trip with Brighton and Ireland striker Evan Ferguson’s agent

An internal process was carried out in association regarding a possible violation of conflict of interest rules

The FAI has warned three coaches over potential breaches of the association’s rules on conflicts of interest after they attended training sessions in the US organised by a prominent Irish agent last year.

The three coaches, one of whom works in operations for the FAI, have all been involved with national under-age teams. They have attended coaching seminars and training sessions, sometimes wearing FAI training tops, with David Berber, an agent whose most prominent client is Brighton and Ireland striker Evan Ferguson. Some of the FAI coaches have posted numerous photos of their trips to the US with Berber on their social media pages.
