Nuno expresses desire to move to Nottingham Forest as priority position becomes clear

Manager Nuno Espírito Santo has made it clear that strengthening the full-backs must be a priority for Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the transfer window.

The Reds have added four new faces so far this summer, although one of them – Marko Stamenic – was immediately loaned out. But more deals are expected before the 11pm deadline on August 30.

“We need more (signings),” the Portuguese said after his side’s 3-0 win over Chesterfield in their opening pre-season friendly. “Not many, but I think we still need a few things.

“Everyone can see we need wingers. The only natural wingers we have are Callum (Hudson-Odoi) and Anthony (Elanga).

“You always have to add the right pieces, there’s no point in bringing in (players) just for the sake of it. We need to get everything right with the players we bring in.”
