Childhood sweethearts board TUI flight with wedding party in full wedding attire

The newlyweds flew from their ceremony in the UK to a reception in Tenerife with their guests all in wedding attire.

Rhiannon Simmonds and Joe Lewis, from Wales, took a TUI flight straight from their wedding to their reception abroad.

Accompanied by eight bridesmaids, three groomsmen, three page boys, two best men and a maid of honour, they boarded the flight from Bristol to Tenerife in full wedding attire.

Rhiannon said: “After the registry office wedding, we decided to fly straight to Tenerife for the reception to continue the wedding celebrations. Due to all the sequins on our dresses, the bridesmaids and I had an extra check when we went through security at Bristol Airport, something the security team said they had never seen before.

“The TUI crew were amazing and made us feel so special, they made the flight so enjoyable, we really can’t thank them enough.” TUI flight attendant Paige Crathorne said: “No cabin crew member on the flight had seen anything like this before, so we made a big deal out of it.

“I first saw the bridesmaids in their dresses, and soon discovered that we had an entire wedding party on board. Things like that always put a smile on our faces and made the flight very enjoyable. Many other customers were wishing them congratulations, and after we informed the flight deck of the occasion, they made a special announcement for the bride and groom.”
