Full Nottingham Carnival parade route revealed

Nottingham Carnival will return this summer with a spectacular parade of troupes from the city and beyond. As well as the procession, visitors can look forward to live music and food and drink at the carnival venue on Sunday 18 August from 1pm to 8pm.

The parade will start at Victoria Embankment and head down Wilford Grove, Felton Road and Green Street. It will then return to the Embankment via Bunbury Street, returning to the carnival site along Wilford Grove. Starting at 2pm, it should take no longer than two hours and is free to watch.

Entry to the carnival venue, which features a dedicated stage and stalls, costs £5 in advance and £7 on the door. Children aged 12 and under are free. This year, there will be three music zones featuring an international headliner, to be announced soon, live bands and over 20 DJs and sound systems. Music will include soca, reggae, afrobeat, calypso, samba, RnB, soul, dancehall, jungle, grime and baseline house.

Other attractions include trade stalls, world food stalls, a licensed bar and fairground rides, as well as a children’s zone with activities for little ones. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic food to the site, but not alcohol.
