He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (July 10) and was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on July 31.

Inspector Tim Cuthbert, Rushcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Inspector, said:

“We are always grateful for information like this from the public, which allows us to take positive action.

“I would like to commend my officers for their quick and efficient response upon receiving this information.

“Residential cannabis cultivation can cause huge problems for neighborhoods due to associated crime and fire risk.

“We also always look to take additional action if it is discovered that property owners are allowing these crops on their property.”
